Dr Alvin Teo graduated with MBBS from the Faculty of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 1998, obtained his Master of Medicine (Anaesthesiology) in 2003 and became a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists in 2005. His interest in Intensive Care Medicine led him to attain Fellowship of the Joint Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine, Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and Royal Australasia College of Physicians in 2009 and was admitted as a Foundation Fellow of the College of Intensive Care Medicine of Australia and New Zealand in 2010. He also holds the European Diploma in Intensive Care Medicine as well as Diploma of Diagnostic Ultrasound (DDU) in Critical Care from the Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine.

He is an experienced adult anaesthesiologist and intensivist registered both in Singapore by the Singapore Medical Council as well as in Australia by the Medical Board of Australia. He was trained and trained physicians in the tertiary referral centres of National University Hospital (Singapore) and the Alfred Hospital (Melbourne, Australia).

His appointments just prior to establishing his private practice were:

1. Consultant Intensivist at The Alfred Hospital, Melbourne, Australia;
2. Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine, Monash University, Melbourne, Australia;
3. Visiting Consultant, Department of Anaesthesia and Surgical Intensive Care, National University Health System, Singapore
4. Visiting Consultant, Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care, Jurong General Hospital, Singapore.

Besides anaesthesia for adult patients, his special interests include:

1. Ultrasonography in critically ill patients
2. Management of Extra-corporeal Membrane Oxygenation Therapy
3. Management of complex critically ill patients
4. Medical education of physicians

He is actively involved in the education of physicians in these areas of special interests via his involvement in restructured hospital education initiatives, conference workshops and has been an invited speaker to local and regional conferences.

Dr Stephenie Phong graduated with MBBS from the Faculty of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 2001, obtained her Master of Medicine (Anaesthesiology) in 2007 and became a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists in 2008.

Her appointments just prior to establishing her private practice were:

2. Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Anaesthesia, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore

She is currently accredited at:

5. Various Day Surgery Units in Singapore

Her special interests include:

1. Patient safety and quality assurance
